Japanese government provides $35 million in aid for Myanmar refugees.
The funds will be utilized through UNHCR and UNICEF for food, medicine, education, and the construction of temporary shelters. The Japanese Foreign Minister stated that the Myanmar issue is a priority matter.
It is also known that Japan has recognized over 5,000 Myanmar nationals as refugees this year.
