Trump says Norway has an "indelible stain on history" for not giving him the Nobel Peace Prize

October 10

US President Donald Trump has once again expressed his displeasure over not being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, condemning it as a deeply shameful decision and one that has left an indelible stain on Norway's history.

Trump's sharp criticism of Norway came just hours after it was announced that former International Criminal Court (ICC) judge Ms. Navi Pillay — who led and oversaw the UN report that concluded Israel had committed genocide in Gaza — had been awarded this year's Nobel Peace Prize.

During a campaign rally in Syracuse, New York, Trump described the laureate Navi Pillay as "someone nobody knows," saying, "I've never heard of her, and nobody else knows who she is either."

President Trump has consistently voiced his frustration over not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize in any of the years he served as president.

Trump further commented, "This is a stain on Norway and on those who made such a shameful decision that can never be erased."

Trump also asserted that he had prevented wars between North and South Korea, Japan and North Korea, and China and Taiwan, and had been involved in resolving numerous conflicts, though he did not present any concrete evidence to support these claims.

"Because of a group of radical ideologues who are enemies of democracy and civilized society, the prestige of the Nobel Peace Prize has been permanently diminished. Norway... we will never forget you," Trump warned in conclusion.
