Daily power outages in Yangon Region last 16 hours.
Power outages in Yangon Region have intensified, with some areas experiencing daily blackouts of up to 16 hours. The situation is most severe in Ahlone, Sanchaung, Kamayut, and Tamwe townships.
There have been instances of factory closures, water supply system failures, and postponements of hospital surgeries. It is also reported that the price of solar panels has more than doubled.
Experts analyze that the cause is due to declining natural gas production and deteriorating basic infrastructure.
