According to reports from local residents, Ko Kyaw Min Htun, son of U Soe Tint, founder of "Soe" Electrical in Pyinmana Township, Naypyidaw, not only rudely addressed the respected community elders responsible for the dharma halls in Pyinmana Township, but also threatened to bulldoze the dharma halls with a bulldozer.

There are 8 dharma halls across various wards in Pyinmana Township, and Ko Kyaw Min Htun visited on September 19, met with the respected community elders in charge of the dharma halls, and reportedly spoke and behaved in an authoritarian manner.

"The 8 dharma halls in the town are nearly 100 years old. U Soe Tint, who is respected and revered throughout Pyinmana, built these dharma halls while he was still alive. He spoke harshly to the elders, acting as if he owned them because his father built them," a person close to the dharma hall officials told MyoTaw.

At the dharma halls, there was a tradition of reciting the Dhammacakka on every Sabbath day during the Buddhist Lent, but on September 19, the 8th waxing day of Thawthalin and a Sabbath day, when Ko Kyaw Min Htun came to the dharma halls, they were reportedly not even allowed to recite the Dhammacakka.

"At that meeting, he said that offering alms and reciting the Dhammacakka were not the work. He said, 'Use the expenses for the Thadingyut festival with the two-tiered eight-offering ceremony, find new land plots yourselves, and build dharma halls. You only own the land. You get to live like this only because my father built them for you. If it continues like this, I will bulldoze the dharma halls with a bulldozer,' and he shouted and said this," another dharma hall official told MyoTaw.

Because of Ko Kyaw Min Htun's remarks, the news has spread throughout the ward, and some of the respected dharma hall officials are reportedly preparing to submit a letter to the township Sangha Nayaka Committee.

"The elders from the ward who are responsible for the dharma halls all have their own businesses; they are not people who live off the income from the dharma halls. He has no right to speak like that. He scolded and shouted, and when one elder calmly said, 'After my nephew has spoken, let's hear what U Toe has to say,' he shouted, 'You don't need to say anything, just listen to what I say,'" a respected community elder who attended the dharma hall meeting told MyoTaw.

It was learned through investigation that when Ko Kyaw Min Htun arrived, he did not appear to have consumed alcohol, but he was not acting normally and showed signs of having used some kind of drug, exhibiting abnormal behavior.
