The military junta carried out bombing attacks on some areas in Rathedaung Township, Rakhine State, at around 1 a.m. early this morning on October 3, killing two people, including a 15-year-old girl, and injuring 12 others, according to Deep Sigh.

The junta dropped six bombs on Rathedaung town, one bomb on Pyat Chaung Gyi village, and two bombs on Pyin Khaung village using a Y-12 aircraft, it is said.

One bomb exploded near the Agriculture Office in Rathedaung town, killing 15-year-old Moe Moe Nwe and 70-year-old U Aung Kyaw from Pyat Chaung Gyi village, while civilians including 13-year-old Myo Myat Khaing and 32-year-old Myo Wai Lin were injured, it is learned.

Similarly, A Ngu Maw village in Rathedaung Township was also bombed by a Y-12 aircraft at around 1:35 a.m., injuring 24-year-old Khin Hmun Yar Swe, 45-year-old Phyu Thi, and 45-year-old Thein Hla, and one house was also destroyed, it is said.

Between 2021 and 2026, the military junta carried out more than 10,500 airstrikes across the country, killing more than 6,000 civilians, the Myanmar Lawyers' Council announced on September 14.
