According to the latest bulletin from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a very severe cyclonic storm is making landfall near the south of Ranam town on the Andhra Pradesh coast in India, and due to interaction with land, it will rapidly weaken into a severe storm and then a low-pressure area, meteorologist U Win Naing has forecast and assessed.

According to a bulletin from the Thai Meteorological Department (TMD), the monsoon trough is passing through the Andaman Sea and southern Thailand, and low-pressure cells and moisture flows from the east are pushing into southern regions of Myanmar, it is said.

In Rakhine State, Chin State and upper Sagaing Region, due to the pull of the storm's large outer cloud bands, rain will be scattered to heavy in places between October 28 and 29, and rain will ease from October 30 to November 1, but between November 2 and 3, due to the inflow of a westward wave, rain may return, from isolated to scattered, it is said.

In Ayeyarwady Region, Yangon Region, Bago Region, Tanintharyi Region and Mon State and Kayin State, due to the pull of moisture flows from the Andaman Sea and the east, rain will fall from isolated to scattered between October 28 and 31, and between November 1 and 3, due to the movement of low-pressure cells in the southern Andaman Sea, rain may increase from moderate to heavier in Tanintharyi Region, Mon State, Kayin State, Yangon Region and Ayeyarwady Region, it is said.

In Magway Region, Mandalay Region, Nay Pyi Taw, Shan State, Kayah State and Kachin State, between October 28 and 29, due to residual rain clouds, rain may fall in isolated places, and from October 30 to November 1 rain will be light, while on November 2 and 3 rain may return in isolated places, it is said.

Due to the storm remnants, between October 31 and November 3, moisture-rich rain clouds that may push in along with the southeast winds from the southern Andaman Sea will cause rain to increase slightly again in southern Myanmar, the delta and western regions, meteorologist U Win Naing has forecast and assessed.
