A father has filed a case under Section 376 against a young man who abducted and lived with his 13-year-old daughter

A case occurred in Tachileik where a 16-year-old male took a 13-year-old girl from her home and lived with her for about 4 days, prompting the girl's father to report it at the police station, according to local news sources.

On the night of September 23, the 13-year-old girl went missing from her home, and her family searched for her but could not find her, it is said.

It was only on the night of September 26 that the accused, Maung Aung Htet Thar, aged 16, brought the girl back to her home by motorcycle, it is reported.

"When the boy came to call her, she went with him and they lived together as lovers. When the girl's family heard that they were going to report it, they sent her back. Even though he sent her back, the boy is someone who acts recklessly, and since he did this to his underage daughter, as a father I could not bear it and reported it to the police," a local said.

When the girl was questioned by her family, she said that she had lived together with Maung Aung Htet Thar, aged 16, for a few days each at a place near an under-construction building in Pasat Ward and at a room in Saykhan Ward in Tachileik.

Regarding the incident, the girl's father reported Maung Aung Htet Thar today, September 30, at Haung Leik Myo police station in Tachileik for luring and living with an underage person, it is known.

Currently, the accused, Maung Aung Htet Thar, aged 16, a resident of Yan Aung Myay Ward, Palyan (2), Tachileik, has been charged under Penal Code Section 376, is being detained at the police station, and investigations are being carried out, it is known.
