Man Dies with Syringe Still in Arm While Injecting Drugs on Kandawgyi Lake Perimeter Road in Mandalay

A man was found dead with a syringe still in his arm on the Kandawgyi Lake perimeter road in Chanmyathazi Township, Mandalay, according to reports.

At around 2:30 PM yesterday, September 18, a man in his 30s was found dead with a syringe still in his arm on the Kandawgyi Lake western embankment perimeter road in Thanykyetmaw Taung Ward, Chanmyathazi Township, according to reports.

"I think he overdosed while injecting drugs into his arm. He was lying there alone. Passersby called charity organizations, and when they checked, he was already dead," a local resident said.

The body of the deceased man has been sent to the Mandalay General Hospital morgue, and Chanmyathazi Township Police Station No. (10) is investigating the case, according to reports.

Also on September 1, an elderly man was found dead with a head injury in Shwe Ta Chaung stream between 85th and 86th Streets in Thanykyetmaw Taung Ward, Chanmyathazi Township, and the perpetrator has not yet been arrested, according to reports.
