The Pauk Township Department of Social Affairs, Labor, and Humanitarian Assistance announced with photographs on November 4 that nearly 4,000 people from 9 villages have been displaced by the junta's airstrikes and heavy artillery fire on some areas of Pauk Township (southern part) in Magway Region, despite no fighting having occurred.

It is reported that one MI-35 attack helicopter and four gyrocopters launched from the junta-controlled Nyaung-U Air Force Base carried out airstrikes on November 4, while Artillery Battalion 24 also fired heavy weapons indiscriminately.

The Pauk Township humanitarian group stated that the attacks destroyed civilian homes, a school, and monasteries in Thee Chauk village (southern part), and that nearly 4,000 people from about 9 villages have been displaced.

According to a UNOCHA Myanmar release dated July 13, 2026, more than 3.8 million people in Myanmar have been displaced due to armed conflict since the 2021 coup.
