The National Unity Government has announced that it awarded a 10 million kyat cash prize and a certificate of honor to the Pauk Township PDF drone unit for being able to attack and destroy a Mi-17 military helicopter of the coup military that arrived at Twin Ma Pyu village in Myaing Township, Magway Region, using FPV drones.

It is said that a ceremony to present the cash prize and certificate of honor to seven comrades led by Comrade Ko Chan, the responsible person of the Pauk Township PDF drone unit, which was able to attack and destroy the Mi-17 military helicopter through the joint efforts of the National Unity Government and the Interim Federal Unit Government, was held on September 20.

"Today's battles are technology-based battles. If technology can be used cleverly, skillfully and effectively, the balance of these battles can also change. Everyone knows that it is changing. To be able to deter and destroy the airstrikes, naval operations and war crimes committed by the terrorist military council, which are its main advantages, modern drone technology has become absolutely essential. Many young people of the new generation who are capable of using such technology are also leading and participating in this revolution. Because of these young people's ability to use technology effectively, everyone knows that at present, the terrorist military council's advantages, its air resources and naval resources, are being effectively attacked and destroyed. Because they can be attacked and destroyed like that, it can even be said that the military balance has changed. It is also a reality that if only our comrades had more complete and sufficient resources, the pace of the revolution would also accelerate. Therefore, I would also like to urge the revolutionary people participating in our revolution to provide more technological support equipment needed for our comrades," U Maung Maung Swe, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of the National Unity Government (NUG), told the city.

It is learned that the ceremony to present the 10 million kyat cash prize and certificate of honor for being able to attack and destroy the coup military's Mi-17 military helicopter with FPV drones was attended by government officials led by National Unity Government Interim President Duwa Lashi La and Union Prime Minister Man Win Khine Than, Interim Magway Federal Unit Government Chief Minister Dr. Ye Tun Zaw, Deputy Chief Minister U Chit Win Maung and officials, members of the Pauk Township PDF drone unit who received the awards, and invited guests.
