AIF and WITCH (Witch Group) announced that in operations carried out last August in Ayeyarwady Region, more than 50 junta troops were wounded and there were also fatalities, and that an entire military column was destroyed.

The statement said the operations were conducted in cooperation with local allied groups to resist the junta's offensives, and that battlefield successes were achieved from those operations.

The statement also said the junta is forcibly conscripting young people for military service and sending them to the front line, and it urged young people being conscripted for military service to avoid serving.

In addition, it said that those who have been conscripted for military service and sent to the front line should seek opportunities to escape, and that those wishing to surrender their weapons can contact revolutionary groups.

AIF and WITCH (Witch Group) gave notice that they will help those who make such contact to reach safety.
