Woman under investigation for keeping a 9-month-old fetus in a refrigerator after miscarriage

Thai police are detaining and questioning a 21-year-old woman who, after a miscarriage at a well-known hotel in Bang Kapi district, Bangkok, Thailand, placed the body of a 9-month-old fetus in a black plastic bag and kept it inside a refrigerator.

At around 9:30 p.m. on September 29, after receiving a report that a woman was having a miscarriage at a hotel near Ramkhamhaeng Road 40, officers from Hua Mak Police Station went to investigate and arrested a 21-year-old Thai woman named Ketsara in the room where the incident occurred, it was reported.

According to the investigation, Ketsara had arranged to meet a Chinese man through a dating app in a hotel room and had been staying at the hotel since August 30, it was reported.

When police continued searching the hotel room, they found abortion pills ordered online on August 24, and Ketsara admitted in her statement that she took 1 pill on September 5 and another 4 pills on September 6.

According to the police investigation, on September 27 she suffered abdominal pain and miscarried in the hotel room, and placed the body of the 9-month-old fetus in a black bag and kept it in the refrigerator, it was reported.

Currently, Ketsara is still being questioned by police, and all evidence has been seized, with a case file built and handed over to the investigating officer at Hua Mak Police Station, it was reported.
