Eight civilians were killed when the military junta carried out an aerial bombing attack on Tintin Yon village in Ye-U Township, Sagaing Region, on September 7, according to reports.

At around 5 p.m. on September 7, the military junta attacked with three Gyro helicopters and one MI-35 attack helicopter without any prior clash taking place, sources said.

"A car workshop was hit. People who had come to get their cars repaired were also there. The workshop owner's daughter was reportedly among them. Eight people were killed," a local resident said.

Although the total death toll from the airstrike reached eight, only seven bodies have been recovered so far, according to a news source.

"Only part of one body was found, and they are still searching for the rest but haven't found it. One person's head was completely shattered," he added.

The National Unity Government (NUG) announced on September 2 that the military junta conducted 530 airstrikes across 13 regions of Myanmar in August.

The NUG stated that Sagaing Region saw the highest number of those airstrikes, with 139 civilians killed, including 18 children under the age of 18.
