October 6

According to the ECMWF Model's forecast, meteorologist U Win Naing has assessed that on October 12, cyclonic circulation will begin to strengthen in the southern Bay of Bengal and the southern Andaman Sea, potentially forming a low-pressure wave.

On October 13 and 14, the system may strengthen further into a low-pressure area over the central/southwestern Bay of Bengal, it is stated.

On October 15 and 16, as the low-pressure area moves west-northwestward, there is a high likelihood it could strengthen further into a minor storm over the west-central Bay of Bengal, but there is not yet any condition indicating it could move toward Myanmar, it is stated.

The low-pressure area will head toward the Indian coastline, but the moist air currents from the southwest/south being drawn into the system will pass through Myanmar's waters and southern/central regions of Myanmar, it is stated.

In Tanintharyi Region, Mon State, Kayin State, Yangon Region, Ayeyarwady Region, and Rakhine State, rainfall will continue to be strong due to the monsoon and southern air currents, and scattered heavy rain and squalls may occur, it is stated.

In Sagaing Region, Magway Region, Mandalay Region, Kachin State, and Shan State, rainfall will decrease after October 14 due to a high-pressure area pushing in from China, meteorologist U Win Naing has assessed.
