A fighter jet of the coup military crashed at around 5:16 a.m. today, August 3, near Nyaung Hnit Pin village in Hmawbi Township, Yangon Region, according to reports.

The incident occurred when the aircraft struck a bird upon reaching approximately 8,500 meters southeast of Hmawbi town in Yangon Region, near Nyaung Hnit Pin village. The bird entered the engine compartment, causing an engine fire, according to reports.

After the aircraft caught fire and before it crashed, the two pilots ejected and escaped, surviving without sustaining any injuries, as announced in a breaking news report by the coup military's Myawaddy Television, according to reports.
