Power Bank Overheating While Charging Causes Fire in Taunggyi

Fire breaks out in Taunggyi after a Power Bank overheats while charging

It is reported that a fire broke out in a residential house at around 4:35 a.m. this morning, October 5, in Kyaunggyisu Ward, Taunggyi Township, southern Shan State.

It is reported that the fire started on the upper floor of a two-storey house with a zinc roof and plank flooring, measuring 18 feet by 15 feet, at No. (Ma-13/41), Ward 13, Kyaunggyisu Ward, after a Power Bank overheated while being charged.

For the fire incident, two fire engines from the district station, two fire trucks from the township station, one water tanker, 36 fire brigade members and four reservists set out starting at 4:40 a.m. and extinguished the fire, it is reported.

Due to the fire, a two-storey residential house with a zinc roof and plank flooring, measuring 18 feet by 15 feet, was destroyed by fire, and there were no human or animal casualties, it is reported.
