FMI Housing Estate: Supervisor Stabs Security Guard to Death

In Yangon Region, Hlaingthaya (East) Township, near Gate 3 of the FMI Housing Estate, a young man working as a private security guard was stabbed and died instantly, according to sources.

On July 24, around 12:10 PM, at Gate 3 of the FMI Housing Estate in Hlaingthaya (East) Township, a 29-year-old private security guard, Ko Aung Phyo Oo, and a 25-year-old dormitory supervisor, Ko Hein Htet Kyaw, got into a verbal argument. The supervisor then stabbed the guard in the neck with a knife he had brought along, according to reports.

"They argued over a personal issue. Both were young men, so during the fight, he stabbed him in the neck with a knife. Just one blow, and he died on the spot," a person close to the housing estate told MyoTaw.

Ko Aung Phyo Oo sustained one stab wound to the neck and died at the scene. The perpetrator, Ko Hein Htet Kyaw, was arrested within the FMI Housing Estate premises, according to sources.
