Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun says he will remain at the United Nations, according to information received

It is learned that a march in support of Myanmar's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun, continuing to remain at the United Nations was held on September 19 near the UN headquarters in New York, United States.

The support march was held as the Global Action for Credential Campaign 2026 under the title "Our UN Ambassador HE Kyaw Moe Tun, True Voice of Myanmar," and Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun and NUG Foreign Minister Daw Zin Mar Aung attended and delivered remarks of support, according to a statement issued by the New York City Burmese Community (NYCBC).

"Today, about 500 people gathered and demonstrated. They marched and demonstrated along prominent streets in New York City. There are more people than last year. Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun said, as in previous years, that he has received information that he will continue to be kept as Myanmar's representative at the United Nations," a person who attended the demonstration told MyoTaw.

The demonstrators marched with chants from in front of the UN headquarters through the streets of downtown New York, and local New York donors hosted and served lunch to the demonstrators who returned to near the UN headquarters, it is learned.
