September 16
Three gyrocopters of the military junta bombed Kan Pauk village, located 5 miles west of Pale Township in Sagaing Region, at around 12:00 noon on September 15, killing 3 civilians, it is learned.
"Two bodies were blown up and left hanging on the roof, and one body was caught on the fence. A mother, a daughter-in-law, and a son — all 3 family members — died. The bodies were too gruesome to look at," a local resident said.
It is learned that there were no revolutionary forces stationed in Kan Pauk village, which was bombed, nor were there any military columns operating there.
Due to the attack, there was 1 person seriously injured and 1 person with minor injuries, and 2 houses were also destroyed, it is learned.
The Myanmar Lawyers' Council announced on September 14 that from 2021 to 2026, the military junta carried out more than 10,500 airstrikes across the country, killing more than 6,000 civilians.
