Myanmar Junta Airstrike on Loikaw Village Kills 4, Including Children, Injures 11

An airstrike by the military junta on Naungpulu village in the eastern part of Loikaw Township, Kayah State, has killed 4 people, including 2 children, and left 8 others seriously injured, according to sources.

The attack took place around 12:00 noon on September 5, when the military junta used a jet fighter to drop two 200-pound bombs on Naungpulu village in Loikaw Township, sources said.

"They dropped bombs on Naungpulu village near the Loikaw-Shartaw road. They dropped two 200-pound bombs. Two children who were playing and two adults died, four in total. The remaining 11 were injured. Eight are in critical condition. Villages in the eastern part of Loikaw have been under aerial attack these days," a local resident said.

On September 1, the military also carried out a bombing attack on the Mawkhi area in Kayah State, killing at least 15 people, including children.
