Federal Democracy Union Emergence Leadership Council (SCEF) and Rakhine National Organization/Arakan Army (ULA/AA) hold online meeting

The Federal Democracy Union Emergence Leadership Council (SCEF) announced on the evening of July 26 that officials from SCEF and the Rakhine National Organization/Arakan Army (ULA/AA) held an online meeting lasting over an hour on July 23.

During the online meeting, SCEF's rotating chairman Khu U Reil and ULA/AA Chairman General Tun Myat Naing delivered opening remarks respectively, it was reported.

The leaders from the Arakan Army who attended the meeting reportedly engaged in frank and open discussions regarding providing humanitarian assistance and rehabilitation to flood-affected people during the flood situation in Arakan State, as well as the current political landscape and future political process requirements.

SCEF leaders briefed participants on SCEF's founding purpose, policies, current activities, and future work plans, with SCEF's Strategy and Policy Lead Member, Union Prime Minister Man Win Khaing Than, delivering closing remarks, it was reported.
