Son-in-law stabs mother-in-law with a sharp weapon while living in the same house

In Maubin Township, Ayeyarwady Region, an argument between a mother-in-law and her son-in-law escalated, and the son-in-law attacked his mother-in-law with a sharp weapon he had made himself, it is learned.

The incident occurred at around 9 PM on September 9 in Maubin Township, No. (8) Ward, Mya Nandar Extension (6) Street, between the son-in-law, 32-year-old Ko Nay Lin Aung, and the mother-in-law he lived with in the same house, 52-year-old Daw Than Than Htwe, after they argued, it is learned.

Because the son-in-law, Ko Nay Lin Aung, stabbed his mother-in-law Daw Than Than Htwe with a sharp weapon he had made himself, Daw Than Than Htwe sustained two lacerations on her forehead, one laceration about 4 inches below the right side of her neck, one laceration on her lower lip, one stab wound about 2 inches at her solar plexus, and swelling and bruising injuries to her eye, it is learned.

The mother-in-law, Daw Than Than Htwe, is receiving medical treatment at Maubin Public General Hospital, and due to the severity of her injuries, she is in a critical condition, it is learned.

The son-in-law, Ko Nay Lin Aung, has been charged and taken into custody by Maubin Myoma Police Station, it is learned.
