Russia attacked Ukraine's capital Kyiv with missiles and drones, destroying supply warehouses and killing 17 civilians

The Russian military launched airstrikes on Ukraine's capital Kyiv and surrounding areas using missiles and a large number of Iranian-made kamikaze drones, destroying 13 warehouses, one manufacturing plant, 4 residential buildings, and dozens of vehicles. At least 17 civilians were killed and no fewer than 20 were injured.

During the airstrike, missiles and kamikaze drones struck 7 industrial zones and logistics centers in Ukraine's capital Kyiv, directly hitting major food supply warehouses within the Kyiv metropolitan area and causing severe fires, according to reports.

The attack severely disrupted the public food supply system, and missile debris also damaged several nearby electrical substations and residential buildings.

Ukrainian President Zelensky strongly condemned the attack, stating that Russia is deliberately targeting the fundamental food and supply hubs essential for civilians' survival during the war. He also said via his Telegram channel that more weapons assistance is urgently needed to deter Russia's terrorist attacks.

President Zelensky revealed that Ukraine's current air defense missile reserves have dwindled to alarmingly low levels, and he reiterated his urgent call for the United States and European allies to immediately deliver the needed missiles for air defense systems without delay.

Military analysts point out that in addition to targeting ordinary energy infrastructure, Russia is now also targeting food storage warehouses and goods distribution hubs, indicating an operational effort to exert greater pressure on Ukraine's economy and public morale.

Military experts assess that Russia is particularly exploiting the delays in Western military aid and air defense weapon supplies, intensifying airstrikes to gain the upper hand before the coming winter season.
