Primary school teacher riding a motorcycle dies after being hit by a military council logistics vehicle

In Meiktila Township, Mandalay Region, a logistics vehicle of the military council collided with a motorcycle carrying a school teacher and a child, resulting in the death of the school teacher, according to reports.
The incident occurred around 3:30 PM on July 20 on the Meiktila-Kyaukpadaung road, it is reported. A logistics vehicle with registration number 1714(B), driven by Sergeant Nyan Paing Htwe from the Central Military Command, collided with a motorcycle carrying primary school teacher Daw Mya Kay Thi Khaing and a female student, according to sources.
"The military vehicle swerved and hit them directly. The school teacher who was driving the motorcycle died. The female student sustained quite serious injuries. I don't know if the military side will take action or not. The police did arrive," a local resident told MyoTaw.
Due to the collision, 32-year-old primary school teacher Daw Mya Kay Thi Khaing from Ainggyi Leik Village died instantly at the scene. The accompanying 16-year-old female student, Ma Ei Sandar Phyu, suffered a severe fracture of her left shin along with bruises and injuries all over her body, it is reported.
Previously, around the end of October 2025, near Kanhla Village on the Magway-Natmauk road, a fuel tanker from the military council's logistics unit and a light truck carrying civilians collided head-on, causing an explosion that resulted in the deaths of 5 people, including a deputy sergeant, and injuries to 4 others, according to reports.
