Young people being arrested even on rooftops in Naypyidaw

According to reports from local residents, U Kyaw Htay, the administrative officer of East Kyoe Pin Village in Lewe Township, Naypyidaw, has been collecting monthly military service fees from households while also carrying out arrests by climbing onto rooftops to capture young people.
On July 21, Maung Nyein Chan, son of U Thaung Shwe from East Kyoe Pin Village, was arrested while sitting inside his home by administrative officer U Kyaw Htay and his associates, who claimed it was for military service. He has had no contact with his family since then.
U Kyaw Htay, the administrative officer of East Kyoe Pin Village, has been collecting 70,000 kyats per household monthly as military service fees while also conducting arrests of young people, leading to speculation that he may be involved in selling conscripts for military service.
On the night of June 29 around 11:30 PM, Maung Pho Chit, son of U Kyaw Lwin living north of the monastery in Sin Thay Village, Pyinmana Township, was arrested by administrative officer Soe Thit Aung and his group, who brought along police personnel under the junta's command, climbed onto the rooftop, and took him away at gunpoint.
Earlier on May 11 around 4 AM, 30-year-old Maung Zin Ko Naing, who was renting a house in Tabin Shwe Hti Ward, Pobbathiri Township, was forcibly arrested inside his home by personnel under the junta's command and taken to the Ywar Taw interrogation center.
