National Unity Government (NUG) Confers Military Hero Titles, Awards, and Medals

The National Unity Government (NUG) has announced that it has conferred military hero titles, awards, and medals in honor of troops and revolutionary comrades who selflessly carried out military duties during the five-year revolutionary period.

The award ceremony was held on September 7, the fifth anniversary of the founding of the People's Defence Force (PDF), combining both online and in-person formats, according to reports.

The ceremony was attended by more than 300 people, including NUG Acting President Duwa Lashi La, Prime Minister Mahn Win Khaing Than, government officials, parliamentary and federal body representatives, allied revolutionary groups, and PDF and PDO commanders and comrades, according to the statement.

During the ceremony, the Honor of People's Revolution (HPR), Legend of People's Revolution (LPR), People's Medal for Noble Service (PMNS), People's Medal for Loyal Service (PMLS), and Badge of Revolutionary Service (BRS) were conferred, according to reports.

Among the recipients were 1 person receiving the Honor of People's Revolution, 21 receiving the Legend of People's Revolution, 1,647 receiving the People's Medal for Noble Service, 81 receiving the People's Medal for Loyal Service, and 42 receiving the Badge of Revolutionary Service, according to reports.

A total of 1,792 individuals received awards, titles, and medals, including 1,442 from the PDF, 324 from PDOs, and 26 from allied revolutionary groups, with 45 units honored across military regions, divisions, battalions, and forces, according to reports.

The NUG has announced that the program of conferring hero awards, titles, and medals will continue annually in the coming years.
