Drop bomb hits stalled convoy in Moe Lu, destroying 2 cars and injuring 1 woman

November 5

A Drop bomb was dropped on a traffic jam in Moe Lu town on the Shwebo-Myitkyina road near the border of Sagaing Region and Kachin State, injuring one vendor and damaging two cars, it is learned.

Around 10 a.m. on November 5, a Drop bomb fell on a line of vehicles forced to stop in a traffic jam inside the town near a school in Moe Lu, it is learned.

"A Drop bomb fell near the school. A trailer truck was destroyed. Bomb fragments flew into a blue Surf passenger car and the seat inside caught fire. An elderly woman selling salads in front of the school was hit in the leg," a local resident said.

Since November 4, fighting has broken out in many areas outside Moe Lu town, and nearly all entry and exit points to the town have been blocked, so the bombing occurred while cargo trucks and passenger vehicles were stalled in a line inside the town, it is learned.

"The cars are stuck. Downbound cars are blocked one at a time in Nant Sit and Moe Lu town. The upbound route is blocked at Katha," a driver said.

Currently, supporters and lobbyists of the coup military are accusing the KIA and revolutionary forces of firing at the school in connection with the damage caused by the Drop bomb.

Moe Lu town is an important town on the Shwebo-Myitkyina road section linking Sagaing Region and Kachin State for military and trade purposes, and it is also a town that the coup military only regained from the KIA and allied forces on May 5, 2026.

At present, revolutionary forces control villages outside Moe Lu town, and the coup military is also conducting patrols with fighter jets and Y-12 aircraft, it is learned.
