Woman who conspired to kill her husband arrested after nearly 20 years on the run

A 50-year-old woman, who had been wanted on a warrant for conspiring with her lover to kill her husband in Trang Province, Thailand, has been arrested by Thai police after nearly 20 years on the run.

In 2007, the husband discovered his wife's affair with her lover. To resolve the issue, they met at a restaurant. On the way home, the lover kicked the husband's motorcycle, causing it to fall, then stabbed him and slit his throat.

During the attack, the wife allegedly helped restrain her husband to prevent him from struggling, and after believing he was dead, they abandoned him and fled.

However, the husband fortunately survived until police arrived and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. Subsequently, based on the husband's testimony, the police issued arrest warrants for both suspects.

The lover, one of the suspects, was arrested shortly after the incident and has already served a prison sentence. However, the wife, the other suspect, had been evading capture for over 19 years by moving between various districts.

Police received information that the fugitive wife was working at a logistics company in Bangkok, leading to her arrest.

During questioning, the wife denied involvement in the attack, claiming she was merely present at the scene. The police have transferred her to the relevant police station for further legal proceedings.
