The coup military carried out aerial bombing attacks on Khin U Township and Wetlet Township in Sagaing Region on the same day, killing 1 civilian and injuring 2 others, it has been reported.
At around 9 PM on July 30, two jet fighters that took off from Tada-U Air Base dropped 4 bombs on Ngar Pat Chaung village in Wetlet Township, injuring a 76-year-old man whose condition is said to be critical.
"U Than Lwin was hit by bomb shrapnel and suffered a head injury. Three houses were destroyed. The patient is in critical condition," a local resident said.
Similarly, at around 2 PM on July 30, a jet fighter that took off from Tada-U Air Base dropped 3 bombs on the paddy fields west of Htanawng Kone village in Khin U Township, killing 1 man in the field as well as 2 cows, it has been reported.
"They bombed the fields. Both the cows and the man were hit. U Maung Maung died, and 2 cows also died. In the village, a woman around 60 years old was hit, and 2 houses were destroyed," a local resident said.
Currently, villagers in the area are fleeing and taking shelter from the fighting due to the coup military's aerial attacks. On July 28 as well, the coup military bombed Pauk Kan Station village in Wetlet Township, killing 1 man who was hit by bomb shrapnel.
